Executive Director, Head of Marketing for Botensilimab and Balstilimab

Location: Lexington or Remote

The role:

The Head of Marketing will be accountable for building an innovative Marketing team responsible for the development and implementation of a strong patient-focused and scientifically-oriented marketing strategy, and tactical implementation of programs for all commercial launches. This role requires a balance of creativity, effective leadership skills, coaching and mentoring skills, a collaborative attitude, and strong business acumen.

In the role you will:

  • Lead the overall brand strategy for botensilimab (FC-engineered anti-CTLA-4) and balstilimab (anti-PD-1) across a broad array of tumor types and indications. This includes defining the brand plan, positioning, go-to-market model, promotional mix, omni-channel marketing strategy, and messaging that will ensure rapid adoption of these agents for all eligible patients.
  • Cultivate collaboration and accountability across key cross-functional teams to deliver on all elements of the brand strategy in alignment with the corporate values and culture.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other teams to ensure a coordinated strategy, and cross-functional support.
  • Establish a patient-focused culture throughout the organization.
  • Think holistically about the business and closely monitor performance against key metrics, taking accountability for driving success over the long-term in a highly competitive market.
  • Effectively socialize brand strategy, the launch plan, and core marketing activities across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure that policies, procedures, and infrastructure for compliance, legal, and regulatory are in place to support US marketing execution.
  • Identify opportunities for global expansion of our portfolio and determine the optimal approach to commercialize in each respective target region.
  • Responsible for the development of the POA, field training plan, sales meeting execution, and field communications in collaboration with Sales.
  • Analyze customer insights, monitor brand performance and competitive dynamics to inform marketing strategy, and address customer needs.
  • Develop budget recommendations, gain approval from management, and manage promotional and advertising spend across the different promotional channels and tactics.

Has responsibility for oversight and effective management of all team members (i.e. direct reports and vendors) to include but not limited to the following:

  • Annual objective setting
  • Mid-year and end of year reviews
  • Ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Employee development
  • Recruitment, selection, and development of talent

Qualifications: About You

  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree (e.g., M.A, M.Sc., MBA, MPH, PhD) preferred.
  • 10 or more years' multidisciplinary work experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry with prior experience in Oncology.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading or significantly contributing to the successful US launch of innovative pharmaceutical products.
  • 5 or more years of managing direct reports.
  • 5 or more years of experience with launch drugs/indications and leading and managing virtual cross-functional teams with complex assignments.
  • Previous experience leading large-scale brand and launch planning processes, including development and implementation of such plans, goals and metrics.
  • Outstanding leadership skills: has a proven track record in building organizations and leading management and staff in such organizations to consistently meet or exceed their targets, goals and other objectives.
  • Proven abilities to work effectively in a complex, matrix environment, across numerous time zones.
  • Outstanding change management skills and a proven track record of effectively driving organizational change and innovation.
  • Demonstrated strategic agility applied to creating robust and innovative business strategies.
  • Ability to travel as needed for internal and external meetings.
