argenx is a global immunology company committed to improving the lives of people suffering from severe autoimmune diseases. VYVGART® (Efgartigimod) is an antibody fragment designed to reduce pathogenic immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies by binding to the neonatal Fc receptor and blocking the IgG recycling process. VYVGART® is being investigated in several autoimmune diseases known to be mediated by disease-causing IgG antibodies, including neuromuscular disorders, blood disorders, and skin blistering diseases. In December 2021, VYVGART® was approved in the United States as the first and only Fc receptor blocker for the treatment of adult patients with gMG who are anti-acetylcholine receptor antibody positive.
argenx US commercial insights and analytics team is growing and looking for a Senior Manager, Commercial insights. This position will report to Director, Commercial Insights.
PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION
The Senior Manager, Commercial Insights will lead market research initiatives in support of VYVGART and VYVGART HYTRULO in the US and Globally. This role partners closely with the Director of Commercial Insights and key internal and external cross-functional partners to plan and implement market research studies to generate deep customer insights in support of ongoing market understanding new product launches. Director, Commercial Insights
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform market research activities for insights generation in support of ongoing and new launches for VYVGART including, but not limited to, CIDP and MG indications
- Lead proposal, design and execution of qualitative and quantitative market research projects
- Analyze and interpret results from primary market research in context of collective insights and prepare meaningful, timely reports and presentations for the cross-functional stakeholders
- Synthesize findings to address business questions, inform strategy development, and support superior decision-making
- Engage in thoughtful cross-functional collaboration with analytics, CI, marketing, medical, and market access to integrate market insights
- Effectively manage multiple external vendor/partner relationships to ensure high quality and insightful deliverables to achieve business objectives within budget and timeline
- Contribute to an innovative culture that strives for out-of-the-box thinking and creative approaches to commercial insights utilizing primary and secondary tools
- Seek opportunities to co-create with internal and external stakeholders in efforts to achieve insights excellence
- Partner with Finance and Director of Commercial Insights to manage the department budget including vendor agreements and contracts
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Highly skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key stakeholders within the commercial and medical organization
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Adaptive and motivated to execute efficiently
- Solid business, planning, and budget management acumen
- Ability to identify and understand business opportunities and develop a research plan to provide actionable insights
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- BA or BS, Advanced Degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in commercial functions within the biopharmaceutical industry with 2-3 years in market research
- Extensive experience conducting primary market research. Expertise in a broad range of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively define business issues and recommendations
- Launch experience in rare disease a plus
- Familiarity with leading pharma industry commercial vendors and data sources
